Headgasket issues.

Post by laner » Mon Aug 30, 2010 11:42 am

Hey everyone,

Ive been a long term user of another Mazda site (not because i prefer it, but i didnt realise there was another one)
I have owned a 1989 JFT Luce for about 6 years now and have recently blown the head gasket, its all pulled down ready for a VRS Gasket kit to be put in...Problem is, cant find a VRS kit ANYWHERE in australia!!
Anyone got any ideas?
Ive contacted a New Zealand company and they are asking for $450 for the kit.....seems a bit expensive from past VRS' i have bought.

Anyway, if anyone has any ideas, let me know :D

Cheers
Laner

that is not bad, guy from states bought a set for his MPV a bit back. it is also not that bad, considering standard JE gaskets are $180 each (non-genuine)... so import VRS set @ 150+ is not that Bad :)

realistically you have not many options:
* get the above kit
* get custom coppers made (not bad idea really)
* i can give you part numbers for the factory JF-T head gaskets
