Stolen Bonnet Trim & Intro

Post by 1990_hc_hartop » Thu Mar 22, 2012 12:24 pm

Hi guys,

Just bought myself a 1990 Mazda 929 HC hardtop, great condition, high km's but one owner and service history, great choice for my first car (fully licensed) :D

On my second day of ownership it appears at either uni or at Westfield Penrith someone has stolen the bit of trim above the grille  maybe called the bonnet trim?

I've been looking on the internet at wreckers and they all seem to be missing the trim.

If anyone has on for sale I would love to buy it the car just doesn't look the same without it.

Alternatively if anyone sees one come up for sale in the Sydney area let me know cause its likely its mine.

Thanks, and looking forward to your replies.

Welcome :)

The trim probably fell off, it wasn't best of designs. It has bolts that are mountes on skinny U plastic mounts, these snap off and trim goes the way of the dodo.

You will bee hard pressed finding solid unit. The one I have saved for the future has a couple of U-s cracked. People tried R-bond to add reinforcement but it would need good amount of prep.

Will keep an eye out for one for ya anyway
