excellent, i was going to ask for an update.... and here it is :D

BTW:

make sure before putting motor back in, replace the O-Ring on the bits on the left bottom corner of that shot (the PCV and the blank plate), you will have to pop the valve cover off as they lip under it. i use silicone rings and they take much longer to leak then the rubber (worth extra coin once you do one of these while motor is on the car)

also in the same area, between the heads, you will have a small coolant hose that is also have a 'soft metal' Y-Connector... the little rubber hose (from Y-Connector and the manifold) bursts and Y-Connector corrodes... what i did is replaced the whole lot, made the small hose longer (easier to maneuver if it will once again blows) and replaced the crappy Y-Connector with a brass T-Connector (couldn't find Y at the time)

My Y-connector was corroded right out. The one on the new motor is pretty clean.
Chers about the point on the O-ring :) I'll bump heads with my mate and see wat we can do about it.

don't trust it, its a b!tch to replace once the motor is in... throw it out (there are 3 of them around the motor, will be replacing all of them with brass, do it once do it proper)

with o-ring i get my silicone ones from this joint (bit of a drive for me too) in dandenong, but well worth it (they can do custom cut seals on the spot too)

http://www.perfectfiltration.com.au/

will be heading there tomz, got to get silicone seal for the oil filler cap and something to reseal the fuel tank cap :D

Cheers boys :)

Yeah, we got everything wired up today and all the accessories thrown back into play. Belts are on. (All of this was corutesy of my mate, Neill. An absolute gun!) I bolted the crossmember back in place and the exhaust system. Ran into 2 things....

1) Drive shaft is being a b!tch and does NOT wanna go back into place! It's a continuous spline it's gotta go back into, so I do NOT understand why it's being a stubborn thing! I think it's gonna need a bit more "morning strength"! haha

2) This has baffled us:

What connects to this? Anyone got any shots of the power steering region; so I can see where it goes to? Everything else is hooked up and this has us a little stumped :p
