Time to put the back and front seats back in place...

Below is the plug that you NEED to re-connect, otherwise you won't get the warning on the dash that your seat belt isn't in place on the driver's side.

RCAs and Ai-Net install:

Feed the RCAs/AiNEt leads through the back of the head unit and up towards the firewall direction...

Got there.. in 3 pieces :P

So.. all 0AWG and RCAs are in the boot.. what of the AiNet cable?

Image

Well... my goal is to get the glovebox looking like this..

Image

So that explains why the stacker cable is now lying in wait where it is now...

Image

As it looks now.

More install to follow...

Just to let you know.. YES... THEY ARRIVED

My Daytons

Image

NOW... the fun part.... how and where the hell do I put them!!!

Image

Image

BIG BUTT on this speaker! Unless...

Image

I'll have to somehow angle them to fire towards the middle of the widscreen perhaps... OR...

Image

Image

I may have to seriously consider kicks. I'll see how I go with A-Pillar pods and kick panels... I'll make both and see what's more "do-able"... more impotantly..... beneficial for sound quality in this kind of vehicle.

HAHAHAHA!

THOSE, my friend, are my midranges and my tweeters. I'm going to LOVE seeing your expression when my midbasses come in from the States! :P

Ready to cut out :)

Image

Image

Image

Cut the first hole out and started the test fits...

Image

Image

Happy with that indeed :) So, off I go with cutting the rest....

Image

All speaker templates are done, so let's see where they'll sit..

Image

There should do it. This week some time, I'll run some string line around the car like spiderweb to try and position the mids/tweeters on the angles I want them on. I'm looking at firing the mids and tweeters between the 2 headrests. I'll take pictures and show you all with what I do.

That's it for now. Sorry it's taking so long, guys! I want this thing done already, so I can have tunes for my everyday driving AND so I can enter this thing in a see what it's capable of! BUT, realistically.. life must go on, and time is easily taken away because of it. So I can only make do with what I've got. BUT.... it's prgress at least.

A FEW things have been whappening with regards to this car. I've since purchsed a few extra goodies and I've sold a component no longer required (a good indicator to go of is my signature... that'll always show the components I'll be running :P hahaha) OK, I'll show for starters some progress to the boot.

My bad.... I've had visitors over.

OK.. how to fit 4 x 1800x600 sheets of 12mm MDF in a 929.....

Like so

Just like that! hahaha... Right... off to work I go
