no spark from coil
I have 89 Mazda 929 that I van not get the coil to send spark to the distributor. Have replaced the coil. Will the igniter cause the coil not to send fire to the plugs?

Yes it can, but also i would check wiring and connector plugs, lack of signal could have an effect as well.

Re: no spark from coil
I have checked all the connectors at the coil and the igniter. Have voltage at one plug on the coil and voltage at two plugs on the igniter. Now where can I go to figure out why I'm not getting fire from the coil.

Re: no spark from coil
How is your dizzy? if the voltages where they supposed to be, so is coil send the spark to the dizzy?
i am wondering and it might be farfetched, but it could be crank angle sensor that is in the dizzy, is your timing belt fine?
