actually, don't do it. you can adjust it so it will force the gearbox to drop the gear sooner by pressing the accelerator rather then later

i will be sure to check that out very soon. when there is daylight :D and I'll post up a pic of it when I can.. so that someone can point out to me where it is exactly

Ill also be looking into this. Mine always seems to like 3rd all the time. Even at 30-40km an hour... common with them though apparently.

The manual says oil has to be change in Tranny every 6 months.

Its because Mazda didn't make this transmission. That's why its so crap.

i wouldn't be so drastic, these are jetco gearboxes wtih mazda brains... this is the same gearbox as in 300ZX.... just ZX box has more aggressive programming.

jetco boxes are fantastic better the borg-warners that were available in europe and middle east
