Runnig Bad and no Manuals to be had

Post by MStroub » Mon Sep 21, 2009 3:11 pm

Hey everyone maybe someone can help me out a bit please. I am using my brothers 1992 and low and behold I am having problems you know the best luck in the world. It started with a slight miss every so often then progressed to it misses alot now. It dies alot at stop signs also the engine light comes on every so often and but alot of times when it comes on at idle it goes out when I accelerate. Especially when I accelerate to go up the grade. I thought at first it was fuel injectors so I ran some cleaner through them and it did not help. So I searched on line and found some info I jumped the computer and got the code for EGR valve. I have worked on hondas alot but never a Mazda. I went to the local auto parts store to get a Chilton or Haynes and none of the stores carry them nor can they order them. I popped the hood looking for the EGR valve and cannot find it. So a couple of questions
1.) Can I get a manual on this car? Do I have to get it from the dealer?
2.) Is the EGR valve under the intake manifold?
3.) Would the EGR cause this problem.
4.) Code 16

matsuda has a manual for the HD, that he uploaded. that i use... my 92 had those issues when i first got it, i replaced all of these things at once, so there is no sure which one fixed it...lol i did the fuel filter/Distributor cap/Wires, and it went away. Also you might want to inspect the intake hose, especially the plastic elbow, for leaks or cracks. but yea you wont find any manuals in a auto store at all..

MStroub, did you have any luck with them manuals?

alwaysbrokee, any chance you can scan 929 sections? its impossible to get US manuals here, plus will give us ability to have more manuals available for everyone.
